Anne Hauck & the company
Anne Hauck had already been collecting fine Art Deco for over ten years when she opened her eponymous gallery, Anne Hauck Art Deco in 1986. Through her gallery she wanted to share her passion for Art Deco design, luxurious materials, and the quality craftsmanship epitomized by French Deco styles that captivated the first half of the 20th Century. In 1998, after opening two Anne Hauck Art Deco showrooms in Germany, Anne relocated to Los Angeles, bringing with her numerous museum-quality pieces. She has since continued to import thousands of unique and compelling antiques while simultaneously launching her own interior design studio and the Anne Hauck Collection of new artisan-produced and fully-customizable fine Deco furniture, lighting, and rugs. The location of the Anne Hauck showroom on Melrose Ave. in the heart of the chic West Hollywood Design District, makes Anne Hauck a natural choice for Hollywood directors, producers, and set-dressers who appreciate quality and authenticity. Anne Hauck Art Deco pieces appear often on both the small and big screens, perhaps most notably in Martin Scorcese’s Oscar-winning The Aviator for which the legendary director personally selected décor from her showroom for a majority of the sets. In the design world, Anne Hauck Art Deco has been featured numerous times in publications including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, The Robb Report, and Elizabeth McMilliam’s book “Deco and Streamline Architecture in L.A.” Recognized by the design community as an expert on the subject of Art Deco, Anne proudly serves as a member of the American International Fine Art Fair Vetting Committee. Her client list has grown to include celebrities, art collectors, and interior designers both in America and worldwide.
